Sweet Thangs Guarantee
We promise to do everything in our power to deliver you a cake that exceeds your expectations. We will work with you (in reasonable accommodation) on every level to make sure you are completely satisfied and happy with your cake.
Standard Orders: Require 24-48 hour notice in non peak seasons. Payment is due at the time of order, and will be cancelled at midnight.
Custom Orders: A 50% retainer is required to hold the date, and start the preparations for all orders $250 (before taxes) and above. (This only applies to orders booked 2+ weeks in advance). Any remaining balance(s) will be due 5 days prior to Pick-up/ Delivery for Party Cakes, and 2 weeks for Wedding Cakes. Any order under $250 requires 100% payment via PayPal. Payments and/ or Electronic Payment through PayPal validate your signature and agreement to the Terms of Services of this contract. Securing full or partial payment also confirms that you agree that certain creative changes may be made to your final design for the sake of stability, structural integrity or other certain emergencies.
All Sales Final. No returns or refunds.
We reserve the right to return your deposit money in full at any time and cancel your order.
We reserve the right to close our book and reject any order for any reason.
All invoices of the Seller shall be paid by the Client within two (2) days of the date of invoice. After this, a new invoice will be made. Possible discounts may not apply. The cake will not be made if final payment has not been received. Sweet Thangs is not obligated to create a cake if final payment has not been received.
In view of the nature of the service, any order – once confirmed by the Company – is not cancellable. Retainers are non-refundable. If no retainer was made, a percentage of the total order price will be refunded, only in the event that preparations have not been started on the order. No order can be cancelled within one month. If Sweet Thangs allows late payments, a charge of $50 per day will apply. No exceptions
Payment in Full
All fees must be paid by due date 14 days of the event for weddings, and 5 Business days for party cakes. Cash and Electronic payments are allowed. No checks are accepted.
Once a date and cost have been secured, the initial retainer is completely non-refundable as well as any other monies paid. Under no circumstances will refunds be allowed. When a date is secured by a party, it limits other possible business transactions which could possibly be contracted by Sweet Thangs.
Changes to your cake order: Size, description, flavors, etc. will be accepted until one month prior to the event date. After that lockout date we cannot accept any changes. No monies will be refunded in the event your order decreases in size or intricacy.
Tasting appointments are taken for custom cake orders that will have a minimum price of $250 or cake orders that are 50 servings or more. Reservations are taken on a first come first served basis. A certain percentage, non-refundable, deposit will secure your date on our calendar. Tastings are reserved for Sunday afternoons between 1:00-4:00 pm.
Pick-Ups/Possession of Cake
All orders must be picked up at the pre-arranged pick-up time. If not picked up in a timely manner, cakes may have to be picked up the next day. Delivery/set-up fee is begin at $125 within a 25 miles radius; then $1 per mile. Set-up costs vary. If delivery is not prepaid; cake will NOT be delivered.NO EXCEPTIONS If you or your representative elect to pick up and set up the cake, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves Sweet Thangs possession. Wedding cake delivery is MANDATORY. The cake might be delayed due to traffic conditions; we try our best to deliver by the time stated on your Invoice. We guarantee a 2 hour delivery window. If not met, ONLY delivery will be refunded.
Before serving, store cake in a cool place away from bright lights. Putting cake in refrigeration and exposing to air can cause condensation, causing the cake to bleed and melt. Sweet Thangs is not responsible for weather conditions and outcome of cake after leaving the Sweet Thangs Kitchen.
Weather/Acts of God :
Sweet Thangs is not responsible for any conditions that would affect the quality of the product or service such as rain, wind, hail, snow, ice, heat (outdoor weddings) etc. In the event of major weather changes such as tornadoes, hurricanes or effects from hurricanes, We will provide the best possible product,however are not responsible for damage that is related.
Pictures are welcomed. But I do not copy/duplicate/replicate cakes. I will incorporate all major themes of the cake example, but not create the same exact cake. I make every cake unique to SweetThangs, and will not copy another Baker’s work. Colors will be interpreted to the best of my ability. Please be specific. If you want a specific color please provide color/fabric swatch (pictures are not swatches). Food color reacts differently, and can also change after sitting for more than 6 hours. ); photography can make colors appear differently as well. I can guarantee to match the hues within 4 colors (dark/warm when swatches are provided.

In the case of an emergency, please contact us immediately so we can fix the issue right away! If you are unhappy with your cake for any reason, please call us the day of your event and explain the situation. In the rare case that you are unhappy with your cake, you must call the day of your event so your cake can be returned. Only requested concerning taste and quality will be considered. Without proof that you are indeed unhappy with the product and will not be using it for your event, we will be unable to refund any portion of your payment. We are not responsible for any damage to the cake after setup is complete. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure table and environment for the cake(s). Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table, and optimal room temperature of 75 degrees or below. If cake is picked-up by a representative and physically leaves our Kitchen, this signifies that you have accepted the cake as is. Our products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for allergic reactions
